in 1998 by Éric
Trépanier and Pierre
Dessureault, two strategic development experts

2001, Optima launched Focus,
the very first Canadian-made market segmentation solution based
on regional realities, and the cornerstone of the firm’s
product offering. Instant hit! Focus
provided comprehensive market legibility, accurate client base
targeting, and the opportunity to assess market potentials with
superior efficiency.
Relying on its
expertise and a powerful, state-of-the-art segmentation tool,
Optima acquired a client
base including several large Canadian corporations dealing in
fields as varied as energy, telecommunications, finance, retail,
foods and entertainment
On
the strength of their accomplishments, the two founders of Optima
were recognized in 2002 by the business community when they
received Ernst & Young’s prestigious Entrepreneur
of the Year Award. In the same light, Mr. Trépanier
was also selected a finalist for the title of Marketing
Person of the Year 2003 at the AMM (Association
Marketing de Montréal).
Optima
today works on consolidating its competitive position in the
Quebec market while continuing innovative solution research
and development.
