A unique solution
Focus is a flexible
market segmentation solution that categorizes
the five canadian regions households into segments
based on more than 130 socio-demographical and
geographical characteristics (2001 census - Statistics
Canada).
These segments
are distributed through 5 canadian regions (Quebec,
Ontario, British Columbia, Atlantic and Prairies)
by postal code, and have their own characteristics
and consumption patterns.
Thanks to an efficient
geographic filtering, each Focus segment is homogeneous
from the inside since it brings populations with
similar characteristics together; and heterogeneous
on the outside cause each Focus segment singles
out from others.
A
regional approach
Validated in the field, Focus’ regional approach
delivers a better level of discrimination of segment
profiles since it reflects the sociological and
economical realities that define Canada's regional
markets.
In order to allow each regional system to be converted
from one region to another, a bridge system links
each Focus model giving them portability within
Canada.
